The TC2R 6-Inch Downlight Remodel Housing is a Non-IC rated remodel housing for applications where the back side of the ceiling is not accessible. The telescoping housing adjusts from 7 1/4-Inch maximum height to 5 1/4-Inch minimum height allowing for installation where vertical space is limited. The housing has a drop socket with spring to accommodate various trim installations and contains a medium base porcelain socket with nickel-plated copper screw shell that accepts an incandescent light bulb. It is thermally protected against the improper use of bulbs. Bulb wattage ratings and apertures are based on trim selection. Installing the TC2R is made easy by securing the factory installed remodel springs that accommodate up to 1 3/4-Inch ceiling thickness. Supplied with a pre-wired junction box with (5) 1/2-Inch knockouts with pryout slots, (4) non-metallic sheathed cable connectors, and ground wire. UL Listed, C-UL/CSA certified for through-branch wiring, with a maximum of (4) 12-AWG conductors. Wet location listed when using a 20, 21, 22, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243 or 9900 trim. The wet listing also includes the 28 and 29 trims when used with PAR30/PAR38 outdoor rated bulbs. All trims are sold separately and come in a wide variety of styles and finishes to customize to your needs, including the 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 224, 226, 228, 229, 230, 232, 233, 244, 247, 249, 250, 251, 254, 257, 261, 264, 267, 424, 427, 9024, 9324, 9524, 9900 or XR30101 trims.
